INCUBE8 2012

We were delighted with the response and the quality of the proposals that came in for INCUBE8 2012, and the final four selections delivered a diverse and exciting programme covering a range of practices and genres of work. With Ryan Curtis’ show “There is great chaos under heaven: the situation is excellent” the first half of the series draws to a close and we have to say we’ve loved every minute of this intensive four week period.

Massive thanks to the judges – Katie Davies, Sovay Berriman and Matt Burrows, for their great selection, and to the artists – Paul Hurley, Susannah Douglas, Bryony Gillard and Ryan Curtis for four excellent shows… we’ll definitely be following what they get up to in the future!

Each show, as usual, opened with a peer critique, offering a chance for peer exchange and critical feedback for the artist. We’d like to thank Ruth Holdsworth, Clare Thornton, Megan Wakefield and Sovay Berriman for leading these four INCUBE8 peer crit sessions.

Finally, our audience…. Thanks to everyone who came and contributed towards making these such great events.

INCUBE8 2012 is funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and for this we are truly grateful.
