BLUEPRINT WINNER ANNOUNCED

BLUEPRINT

Before we announce the result of our first Blueprint: Open Call to Curators competition we need to explain that there will be only one winner instead of two. This is not a reflection on the quality of the proposals submitted, but rather on the considered opinions of the judges, Paul O'Neill, Ruth Claxton and Gordon Dalton, that none of the proposals could be adequately realised in the space of a fortnight. They felt that in order to do justice to any of the entries they could only choose one show, and we listened to their advice. We would like to say a big thank you to them for the brilliant contribution they made to this project.

So, we are absolutely delighted to offer this opportunity to Neil McNally for his proposal The Belgian Synasthesia Association. He says "... there are some people who believe that synesthetes are the people of the future..." Neil will show the work of at least 6 Belgian artists, all synesthetes, who have never exhibited their work before, and plans to include work of his own in the spirit of Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Poe, Huysmans and Nabakov.

We can't wait!
