Motorcade/FlashParade held our first annual open painting competition in June 2011.
Our panel of three judges, Maggie Royle, Matthew Burrows and Peter Bonnell selected the following 12 artists from national submissions:

We had a fantastic evening and great turnout for the private view and we'd like to offer our congratulations to the winners;
First prize went to Brendan Lancaster who won £500 sponsored by Accommodation Unlimited and a solo show at Motorcade/FlashParade.
Second prize of £250 went to Tom Palin
Third prize went to Melanie Russell, who was awarded £150 worth of vouchers from Bristol Fine Art and Jacksons.
We really can't thank the sponsors enough as their support has been central to making this competition so successful.
We had an absolutely brilliant day with our judges, Peter Bonnell the curator of Art Sway, and artists Maggie Royle and Matthew Burrows, who we are incredibly indebted to. It was insightful, entertaining, challenging at times, fascinating at others and a great experience for all of us here. They selected great work from really high quality entries and we are absolutely thrilled with the resulting show! We would also like to thank Mandy Ure for curating the show in such a witty way - a particularly challenging task for selected work in an open competition.
A big big thank you goes out to our team of volunteers, Nic Marshall and Robert Prideaux, who we would be lost without and to whom we are incredibly grateful.
Finally, thank you to everyone who applied and to all who came to the private view and made it such an excellent evening.

COLLECTION OF WORK
Work must be collected from Monday 4th July to Friday 8th July between 10am and 4pm. A daily storage charge will be made on works not collected after this date
INSURANCE
Artists must insure their own work
SALE OF WORK
Works do not have to be for sale but if sale is intended the price must include 30 % commission to Motorcade/FlashParade
Artists submit work at their own risk
